Raul Martynek is CEO of DataBank and a 25+ year veteran of the telecom and Internet Infrastructure sector. Prior to DataBank, Raul served as CEO of data center operator Net Access (acquired by Cologix), as CEO of global managed hosting company Voxel (acquired by Internap), as the Chief Restructuring Officer of fiber carrier Smart Telecom (acquired by Digiweb) and CEO of telecom and Internet provider InfoHighway (acquired by Broadview Networks). Raul has served in industry-related asset management roles, most recently as a Senior Advisor for Digital Bridge Holdings LLC (which invested in DataBank), and prior to that, as a Senior Advisor at Plainfield Asset Management, a $4B hedge fund that evaluated investment opportunities in the telecommunications and Internet sector. Mr. Martynek earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Binghamton University and received a Master Degree in International Affairs from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs.
