Matt Newton is the Chief Executive Officer and a co-founder of Everest Infrastructure Partners. Matt has more than 25 years of experience in the wireless communications industry as an owner, operator and investor of wireless communications infrastructure. Everest Infrastructure Partners has raised more than $700 million in capital and presently owns or manages more than 4,000 wireless communications infrastructure sites located in the U.S. and Australia.
Prior to co-founding Everest in 2015, Matt was the Vice Chairman of TriStar Investors, one of the largest and most successful acquirers of wireless cell tower real estate. Matt was a member of TriStar's Board of Directors from 2005 until the strategic sale of the business in 2014. Prior to joining the TriStar management team, Matt was a Partner with Columbia Capital, a private equity partnership focused on growth investments throughout the Communications, Media and Technology industries. Matt has led numerous investments throughout the CME industries that collectively realized more than $5 billion in value, including platform investments in wireless communications infrastructure companies Extenet Systems (acquired by Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners), Optasite (acquired by SBA Communications), and TriStar (acquired by Crown Castle International).
